In 1992, Cheerwine celebrated 75 years of success and produced a commemorative bottle. Many of these bottles have become "cheerished" collectibles!

Mark Ritchie became President of Carolina Beverage Corporation and Cliff Ritchie became President of Cheerwine Bottling in 1992.

In 1994, Carolina Beverage acquired the distribution facilities in Greenville, SC and Hickory, NC. Now the Carolinas really are "CHEERWINE COUNTRY!"

George Bush Sr. came to the Faith Fourth of July celebration in 1992 and is the second President known to enjoy a Cheerwine. Who will be the third U.S. President to enjoy a Cheerwine? We don't know, but an ice-cold bottle is waiting for him or her!

In 1997, Carolina Beverage acquired Electric Beverage which was renamed Quality Beverage with distribution facilities in Wilmington, NC, Charleston, SC, Columbia, SC and Hardeeville, SC. In 1997, graphics were changed to the ice and bubble graphic.









In 2002, Food Lion introduced Cheerwine Ice Cream in stores. At the press event in Food Lion store #1, the 5th generation of the Peeler family served samples. This was definitely the coolest idea in Cheerwine history!

In 2002, Food Finds produces and airs 1st National TV feature of Cheerwine. Many Food Network watchers soon become Cheerwine drinkers!

In 2003, Cheerwine hosted the Parade of the Century 250 year celebration of Rowan County, NC. Many people celebrate before and after the parade by enjoying a Cheerwine "float!"

In 2004, Cheerwine was featured on the cover of Beverage World magazine. Beverage World magazine sales hit an all-time high in Salisbury, NC!

In 2006, the Cheerwine logo changed to include cherries for the first time since 1920. It was introduced at the annual sales meeting along with great music by Deana Carter.

In 2006, Clifford Peeler is recognized by the industry by being inducted into the Beverage World Hall of Fame. His full-time service to the company began in 1924 and lasted until the year 2000, a full 76 years!

In 2007, Cheerwine celebrates 90 years! Look for a year-long birthday celebration of fun marketing programs, special packaging and cherry different promotions!
